About Us
Recently retired after 30 years as a research scientist, I’m now able to devote myself to pursuing one of my passions: woodworking.

My early woodworking focused on flatwork such as furniture cabinets for books, stereo systems, etc., but it wasn’t long before I added woodturning to my repertoire and it’s mostly my turned-wood items that you’ll find here.

Most of the wood I use is responsibly harvested from local downed trees that might otherwise find their way into a landfill. The multi-step journey from chainsaw to finished bowl may take as long as a year, since our ‘green’ logs slowly and naturally air dry. We think it’s worth the wait.

Although nature and serendipity brings us the trees, we try to keep a variety of woods on hand at all times. If there’s a very special, specific wood you’d like, we’d be glad to search for it. Please feel free to ask.
